Hi I’m Joanna, photographer for over 15 years based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada!

I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was 8 years old and it’s never left my side since. As an engineer-in-training turned full-time wedding photographer, I know what it’s like juggling a full-time commitment like school or work with a side-hustle like photography.

I decided to share my knowledge around photography when I noticed my unique perspective as a second generation immigrant with no creative connections build an artistic career from nothing in the province of oil & gas. The photography industry felt distant, unrelatable and monotone. I hope that I can help newer photographers overcome hurdles through comprehensive and concise resources to create art that sets their heart on fire.
