The biggest reason to hire a Banff surprise proposal photographer is to be able to look back at your partner’s reaction when you propose and cherish the beautiful memory. Just like with your wedding, a proposal is something you do only once, so it is genuinely a moment to be treasured.

A LA CARTE
35mm Film Photography
There’s just something about film that you can’t replicate with digital photos. Get an entire roll of 35mm film (approximately 36 photos) of your adventure. Digital scans will be added to your gallery.

10x10” Guest Book
Have your engagement photos get turned into a 10x10” Guest Book for you to use on your wedding day! Printed on matte paper to prevent marker smudging, this is the perfect way to preserve your engagement and wedding memories.

Want to get dolled up but don’t know who to contact? I can connect you with a professional hair and makeup artist local to the area of your session!

Rush Turnaround
My turnaround time is typically up to 2 weeks, but if you’d like all your photos back within 48 hours, this option is made available to you.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much time in advanced should we book?
Ideally at least 3 weeks in advanced to ensure there is enough time for planning!
Please note that during the months of May-September, all sessions are only available to be scheduled Monday-Thursday as weekends are reserved for weddings.
Do you charge a travel fee?
There is no charge for travel within 30km of the city of Calgary and Banff National Park. For weddings outside this area, I will plan something out with you so we can find the most appropriate travelling options (whether it is a flight or a drive).
- Calgary + BNP: no travel fee
- Alberta: Calculated as $1/km round trip. If the destination is more than 300km from Calgary, it is a flat rate of $300. If destination is beyond 300 km, it will be a custom quote based on current airfare prices and 2 nights stay of accommodation.
- Canada: Custom quote based on current airfare price and 2 nights stay of accommodation near the venua/area (day before & day after the wedding). Typical investment is $1,000.
- International: Custom quote based on current airfare prices and 2 nights stay of accommodation (day before & day after the wedding). Typical investment is $2,000.
Do you have any add-ons?
Add-ons include film photography, additional locations, and content creation (vertical iPhone videos for social media).
Do you do wedding/elopement photography?
I do ;) and I specialize in it! For my wedding photography services, visit this link. Most wedding/elopement collections include engagement sessions.
If you book your engagement session first and decide to upgrade to a wedding photography collection later, your initial payment can go towards your wedding collection.
What if we need to cancel/reschedule?
If you decide to cancel your session you forfeit the retainer fee.
If circumstances arise and you must reschedule, we can do so if it fits into my calendar. There will be no additional fees.
You can reschedule a session up to 3 times, after that the retainer fee is forfeited.
If weather is uncooperative and we mutually agree to switch dates, there will be no additional fees.
How many photos will we receive?
I believe in quality over quantity and I don’t put a certain number of photos per package because I also get creative during our session and in post-production. For the Classic Session, you can expect at least 80 photographs.
