I’m a visual story teller. a junior engineer. a dreamer. a romantic.

I love cultures, technology, stories, travel, fashion, coffee, and cats.

I love walking barefoot on a warm sandy beach and staring at snowy mountains for hours on end.

I’m a girly girl that loves creating photos like their from magazines (and they likely are) and I’m also a gear-head that can beat my boyfriend at playing his own video games (disclaimer: sometimes).

I’m a quiet, easy-going person with bold and ambitious dreams.

As a visible minority female with a background in STEM who runs an internationally published photography business, ‘untraditional’ is a good word to describe my story, and why I’m so drawn to storytelling.

HOW I STAND OUT

Growing up as a visible minority in a northern Alberta city, I didn’t see others who were also Filipino-blood, Canadian-born. I wished I had a role model that came from a background similar mine. Now, as a minority not only as a female in photography but also as a female in STEM, I’ve made it my mission to share my story to inspire others by showing up in front of a lens. I would love to work with all diversities of love, backgrounds, and stories. Let’s sit down for coffee and talk about how we can make this adventure reflect your story, because I genuinely believe that stories should be told.

I used to hate getting photos taken of me because of the obscure way my darker skin turned up in some photos. The more I learned about photography, the more I learned about how to compliment edits to peoples’ individual traits and showing it off in the best light. I want to show others how beautiful they are for just being them and not through unrealistic filters or color hues. I describe my work as photojournalistic, cool, high-contrast, and elegant. You are beautiful for just being you, and I want my photos to help show you that.

Logistics isn’t unfamiliar to me as a junior engineer. You can trust that every little detail is taken care of, from figuring out the best times to elope to navigating the permits of national parks, chances are that I’ll bring up situations you hadn’t even thought about. I’m involved in the planning process so that we can be present in the moment to have the best day ever.

I’ve had a camera in my hand since 2007 and you better believe I know how to use one. From having the latest technical gear on the market to advanced professional retouching services - no matter what lighting circumstance or photoshop trick is needed, I’ll get the job done. I go over common scenarios and my process when you’re inquiring so that there are no surprises and to make sure you’re confident in your finished product before you even see it. But while I care about my tech, it’ll never be intrusive to your comfort or session. Rest assured that I come prepared no matter the situation.
