The night before, we capture the details and anticipation at your welcome party, dinner rehearsal, or tea ceremony in true documentary fashion: unobtrusively, attentively, and without missing the prelude to the main event. Day-of, the JBP Team will document a thorough and complete storytelling of your day from multiple perspectives as it unfolds. Joanna is so so so lovely to work with! She absolutely nailed what we have envisioned for our vibe and aesthetic in not only our engagement photos and my elopement photos but even for a personal family shoot we pulled together somewhat last minute.
Joanna is very professional in all her correspondence and in person, she has wonderful communication and direction and is such a big help when youāre like me and my husband and donāt really know what youāre supposed to do on your wedding day. She assisted us with timeline, details, extra ideas, props and everything in between to give us the best outcome and we have always been so blown away and in love with the results.

No one tells you about the stress that comes with hiring an unbelievably amazing photographer like Joanna... we've spent hours trying to decide which photos to print and hang! Truly a task that we didn't expect to be so difficult, but every shot Joanna took was perfect and matched our vision to a tee. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, giving us great directions on how to pose etc. while taking the most breathtaking candid photos throughout our wedding day.

She took the Pinterest board I sent her and incorporated it perfectly into our day, with a mixture of coloured, B&W and film photos.
Joanna also delivered our photos to us extremely quickly. The turnover was less than ONE MONTH for a beautiful gallery of 1000 photos. The sneak peaks were delivered immediately after our wedding. Joanna really has an artistic eye and has a beautiful talent for photography. Once you've explored our collections and found the option that feels right for your day, simply share which collection(s) you're considering. JBP will confirm availability for your date and guide you to schedule a video consultation call.
After our consultation call, a signed contract and 30% non-refundable retainer fee are due up front to secure your date.
Accepted payment options include major credit cards, e-transfer, and cash.

Typically 10-18 months in advance for weddings, as soon as you have a date and venue secured.
For sessions, I typically book 4-6 weeks in advanced.
If you love our style, we will do our best to accommodate!

If Joanna is personally unavailable, you have the option of working with the JBP Team of Associate Photographers who would physically photograph your wedding day. Joanna would be the one to edit all your final images in her traditional style.
You will always be informed upon inquiry if you will be working with Joanna or an Associate. The specific Associate is chosen closer to your date.

There is no travel charge for weddings within the City of Calgary, Banff National Park, the Town of Banff, or the Town of Canmore.
For weddings outside this area, we will plan something out with you so we can find the most appropriate travelling options (whether it is a flight or a drive).

Yes, with a 30% deposit due upon booking, 35% is due six months out, and the final 35% due thirty days before your wedding day.

Besides color correcting, I retouch impermanent blemishes/marks/bruises if makeup is not an option. I donāt retouch anything that is part of your body (i.e. curves, double chins, etc). If you are particularly self conscious about something please let me know as I want you to feel 100% comfortable and confident with the posing and direction I give you while we shoot.

The amount of photos depends greatly on your day but you are guaranteed an average of 50 images per hour of coverage.

My turn around time for weddings is typically 8-10 weeks.
For other sessions, turnaround is 2-3 weeks.

I have a hidden portfolio for almost every kind of photography so feel free to reach out to view them. I take any photography requests as long as I am confident that I can serve you and if it fits into my schedule. Please note that availability is limited without advanced notice.

If you decide to cancel your session you forfeit the retainer fee.
If circumstances arise and you must reschedule, we can do so if it fits into my calendar. There will be no additional fees.
You can reschedule a session up to 3 times, after that the retainer fee is forfeited.
If weather is uncooperative and we mutually agree to switch dates, there will be no additional fees.
